Has anyone tried a capital case yet with a separate mental retardation special issue? If so, I would like to look at the text of that special issue. We started jury selection today, and I'm trying to get a jump on the charge.

Please forward any suggestions to rrodriguez@co.jefferson.tx.us.

Thanks.

You should contact Mr. Penry on death row. Having been through such a trial three times, he probably has quite a collection of jury charges. He is practically on a first name basis with Justice O'Connor.

Talk with Lee Hon in Polk County (Livingston). He developed the special issue in the Penry case.

OK, that is probably a more useful suggestion.
