I have several cases against two individuals who were stealing batteries from well sites and selling them to recyclers.

Has anyone else worked this type of case as something other than theft?

Are you sure they are not being sold to meth dealers? We have an enormous problem in South Texas with meth distribution. I have called a couple of contacts with the Oil and Gas Security folks and will let you know who you need to speak with.

Nope, we have video from the recycle place. My defendants were nice enough to look straight into the camera.
