We have a murder case where the defense is alleging the victim regularly used anabolic steroids, there's a possible self-defense issue regarding "steroid rage," aggressive behavior by the victim, etc.

Is anyone familiar with hair follicle testing for anabolic steroids, ever had the issue come up in a trial, familiar with the science, window period where the substance would remain in a person's hair, etc?
