Hey gang quick question. I have just heard from a civil attorney who wants to discuss a criminal case in which I was the prosecutor. It sounds like the former aquitted defendant is suing the former victim for malicious prosecution. What rights, duties, and ethical obligations should I be aware of?

You need to notify your boss. You also should seek legal advice from your county attorney (or whomever handles civil issues for prosecutors who might be witnesses or defendants in civil suits).
