Audio / Video requirements for case submission
Does your office require that all cases submitted to your office submit any and all in-car audio/ videos that are attached to the case?

For example, when an agency submits a DWI case to your office, do you require that the agency attach the roadside video and the intoxilizer room video?

Yes. Any/all audio and video is required to be submitted with the case (either CD/DVD or "electronically filed" for those agencies who are e-filing with us).

We do the same as Brent and additionally ask for all 911 calls, photos (if they apply)and video from EVERY officer that made the scene.

And since several of our agencies are now testing or have gone to body cams and pocket audio recorders, those must be submitted as well.

Brady material sir....if it's recorded, gotta be submitted!

Same as above. Everything related to the case is part of case submission.

One issue we have with this is the proprietary formats used by some vendors. If your agencies ever ask for input, tell them they need solutions that use common formats that you can easily edit or redact, like avi, mov, mp3, mp4
