Does anyone know if a defendant may be ordered to pay the cost for an expert the State uses in trial to rebut a defense expert where a defendant was convicted and placed on probation?

No. See chapter on Community Supervision in Perfect Plea.

Thank you for your quick reply. I was hoping to squeeze the cost of the expert under court costs but it doesn't seem to fit under CCP 102.
