For those of you who have tried these cases since the law changed, what did you do about the parole paragraph in the punishment charge? DId you deleted it completely, which is what the code seems to imply or do you put a sentence that parole does not apply to this offense? Do you object to a defense attorney telling the jury that parole doesnt apply?

Just leave the parole instruction out. I would voir dire on the fact that there's no parole, so I don't really care if anyone mentions it later.
