Okay, my appellate attorney position hasn't found its way into my budget yet so I need help. Contractor executes false affidavits stating that sub-contractors have been paid (when they haven't been paid) and gets payment from the contracting party. I know that there are some civil remedies but a sub-contractor wants to file criminal charges. I seem to recall a very specifc statute that covered this in addition to the general penal code sections that might be applicable. I can't find it. Help!
