Basically what the title says. Traffic stop based on a bad tail light. Driver challenges stop, but turns out he has warrants at the time so he is out of luck.

Passenger challenges(for his own felony possession case). Do the warrants for the driver apply in this situation or is it limited to the driver's challenge?

Be sure to clarify whether the challenge is to the temporary detention (traffic stop), or a search arising during the detention and, if so, to a search of the vehicle or of the person of the passenger.
