Prosecutors decided to cite HIV as a deadly weapon in charging a Houston man with aggravated sexual assault of a child last week - a first for Harris County.

"The penal code says it can be anything that is capable, in its manner and use, of causing death or serious bodily injury," said Jessica McDonald, an appellate lawyer in the Harris County District Attorney's office. "I just don't think that's a high hurdle - to say that having unprotected sex, transmitting those kinds of fluids, knowing you're HIV positive, is capable of causing this child serious bodily injury or death."

Dallas mom halts repossession by lobbing baby into moving SUV

As the repo man, Luke Ross, was backing out of the driveway, Gardner tossed her 1-year-old child through an open window into the back seat of the moving sport utility vehicle, according to police reports. State law prevents vehicles from being repossessed if someone is inside.

When Ross saw the infant in the back seat, he immediately put the car in park and began to get out, the reports say. Then, police say, a 15-year-old boy armed with a 12-gauge shotgun came out of the house and fired one round into the air and another at Ross, striking him in the leg.

Pagan psychic viking died after heart attack led to car setting fire to grass bank
A PAGAN psychic died when his car caught fire on a minor country road in what was described as "an unusual combination of events".

Disabled Richard Ellender, of Polruan, is thought to have died when the catalytic converter in the exhaust at the bottom of his car set fire to dry grass after his car went up a bank when he suffered a heart attack.

Cornwall Coroner Dr Emma Carlyon recorded an open verdict on Mr Ellender, 58, who was also a member of the Cornwall Viking Group.

The accident took place near Porthpean House, Lanteglos by Fowey, on June 30 last year.

Okay. I just read the article this was avoidable. He had an accident. (But he was psychic.)

He had a heart attack while driving. (But he was psychic.)

The accident was caused by the heart attack (see above) and resulted in a grass fire. (But he was psychic.)

Smoke inhalation, accident and heart attack caused his death. (But he was psychic). Therefore, this was a suicicde.

McAllen man killed crying girl during World Cup game

Hector Castro, 27, of McAllen was arrested Saturday and scheduled to be arraigned Monday in municipal court. He told police that the toddler wouldn't stop crying while he was watching the U.S.-Ghana game on Saturday, McAllen Police Chief Victor Rodriguez told The McAllen Monitor.

The girl was severely beaten, and police said a screw or bolt was forced down her throat in an apparent attempt to make it look like she accidentally chocked.
