Eating Candy in Childhood Linked to Adult Crime

What parent hasn't used candy to pacify a cranky child or head off a brewing tantrum? When reasoning, threats and time-outs fail, a sugary treat often does the trick. But while that chocolate-covered balm may be highly effective in the short term, say British scientists, it may be setting youngsters up for problem behavior later. According to a new study, kids who eat too many treats at a young age risk becoming violent in adulthood.

If it was an accordion we might understand, but a harmonica?

An Oklahoma man was arrested after beating his roommate with a harmonica, according to an Oct. 8 story in the Tulsa World.

The roommate was in the bathroom getting ready for work when Decai Liu burst in and started hitting him with the instrument. When police arrived, the victim was covered in blood from cuts on his head and face.

Liu has been charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, likely the first time a harmonica has been considered dangerous without actually being played.

Police are holding the harmonica as evidence.

Remember: The first word in Harmonica is HARM.

Whether chromatic, blues harp or one of the major keys, a harmonica should not be treated as a toy. Only trained professionals and dancing bears should be allowed to handle them unsupervised.

And I have no rebuttal to JB's sadistic banjo note just posted. When the pain in my heart subsides maybe, but not right now.
