How are you folks handling the CSI Effect in jury trials? I just finished a lengthy murder trial and the crime scene work was less than stellar. I talked about CSI during jury selection. Several folks admitted watching the shows and I just explained that we don't investigate or try cases in TV land. The defense attorneys (as expected) vigorously attacked the investigation. Fortunately, I had a couple of eye witnesses. I haven't talked to the jury yet but I got a conviction and a good long sentence. What's working or not working out there? Thanks.
