Problems serving protective order Login/Join

H & W split up. We did a protective order for W, but it's not yet been served (it's been 6 weeks now). He's a long haul trucker for FFE. We had a constable in the metroplex trying to serve him (his new residence) but he eventually gave up. Judge was not keen on extending protective order for a 3rd time w/o a hearing, but he did. Where do we go from here?

use a private server. spend a little money out of your ckeck fund. You have control over the service more than sending it to another county. Dallas Co. Constables are usually pretty good at service though.

While you can't do service by publication, can't you file a motion with the court to allow alternative types of service?

Perhaps the truck driver's employer could assist in locating the driver. Would it be wrong to give him a call and explain the problem?

TFC Section 82.043(c) authorizes alternative
service, except publication.
