Austin-American Statesman on captial punishment
For the latest media review of the Tx death penalty, take a look at this! No doubt there are weaknesses inherent in every process--but it would be a pleasant change for the media to recognize how well it has worked too.

On how it works, read this heartening account from Florida:

Nothing new from the anti-death penalty brigade in Austin. We already knew that there were some defense lawyers who were less than perfect, but that doesn't prove that any of their clients were innocent. We should expect this rag this rag and others like it to keep up the drumbeat to abolish the death penalty, and to manipulate the 'facts' to suit their agenda.

What do you expect from that paper? I just about fell out of my chair last week when I read they endorsed Perry. All over the map.
