Gov. Perry excused from jury duty

Gov. Rick Perry was excused from jury duty in Austin Municipal Court this afternoon. He�d spent about two hours under consideration for a six-person jury in a traffic case.

Neither lawyer in the case asked him a direct question, though the prosecutor gave him a hug.
