A county resident contacted my office and asked for assistance to enforce access to a private cemetery. Section 711.041 clearly sets forth the right to ingress and egress but is not clear who enforces this right. Can I help or is this beyond my authority as County Attorney?

We had one of those a couple of years ago. The landowner has to allow visitation, but the landowner sets the hours and times, etc. In our case, the people who wanted to get access got rather pushy. I gave them a copy of the law and told them they have to work it out between the parties. IMHO, I would never insert myself into a dispute like that. Both sides will get mad at you. Good luck.
