longevity pay and workers' comp
Need quick answer b/c it's almost time to prepare longevity payment checks.

If a sheriff's office employee is out on workers' comp (has been for 3 years) do those years count toward longevity pay? County policy is silent on the issue, and logically I think the answer is NO, but I want to avoid any land mines.

Longevity pay policy includes "eligibility shall be based upon continuous, uninterrupted SERVICE to Waller County"

Workers' comp policy includes "disabled employee will receive WC check only, no County check, insurance for ee only, no vacation time accrual, no sick leave accrual"

AM I MISSING ANYTHING??

I must play the bashful dwarf and request an email at tarrant county about what I might have to say on the subject. Roll Eyes
