My new sheriff is getting new badges made for the S.O. and he wants to know what he can do with the old badges. Can he give or sell the old badges to the deputies that want them? Any thoughts?

My former office allowed (and may still allow) badges belonging to outgoing employees to be purchased for the purpose of afixing them to "going away" plaques.
