In a CPS case that is pending, we posted citation on the mother several months ago because we did not know where she was.

She is now in jail.

Do I need to have her personally served, now that we know where she is, or does the service by posting still confer jurisdiction?

You will need to get her served.

I agree. You must personally serve the person unless he or she has made an appearance or filed an answer.
