Has anyone come across Elizabeth Peacock, a former Travis County assistant medical examiner, as a defense expert? The defense designated her in a stabbing case (agg. assault, not murder). We expect there to be a self-defense claim. Feel free to e-mail me or post on this forum.

I see online that she's with the Bexar County ME's office now. When she left Travis, we'd heard she was going solo. The defense in our case still designated her as an expert in their case.

I know you or your office probably dealt with Dr. P as an Assistant Travis County ME, but based on my dealings with her in that capacity, I would think that she would be willing to talk to you before trial as to her observations. In the past, I have found her to be very professional.

I agree with Greg. I had her as a witness on a few cases years ago, and I found her to be personable and capable. Never dealt with her as a defense witness, though.
