Can our County have a random drug screening policy for all personnel (including elected official)? Or does this violate any Fourth Amendment rights? Please advise.

Another related question is whether county commissioners even have the legal authority to compel such testing of employees of other elected officials. I do not believe that they have that authority. It is up to each elected official to hire and fire as they see fit.
