Have a JP who want to transfer a juvenile to juvenile court for failure to attend school. He has tried everything in his arsenal and has been unsuccessful in getting the child's attention. He has held the parents in contempt twice. Any suggestions?

First, order him to attend as required by law and then when he fails to attend, transfer him to the juvenile court for "Contempt". It is a delinquency offense under 51.03(a)(2) and the juvenile judge will have more alternatives than he would if you transfer it as a CINS under 51.03(b)(1)(A) and (f)-transfer under 51.08. There are some limitations on dispositon of the Contempt delinquency - if the child is removed from his home he can only be placed in a non-secure facility (see 54.04(o)(3).
