HB 1575
Just wanted to let those interested in Juvenile law know that the big Juvenile Bill is headed for a hearing on Wednesday in the House.

The two bad things which are still in the bill are (1) the parties will lose the right to object to a referee or master, see TFC 54.10; and (2) the juvenile boards will be given the authority to require the State to file its petition sooner (now 15 or 30 days) or else release the child from detention. TFC 54.01(q) see new 54.01(q-1).
