You can use the crop tool (under tools), and crop everything you want to keep. Example: If you are removing a header, you crop the entire document except the header.

If you want to permanantly redact something, you go to "Advanced", go to "redaction" and then use "mark for redaction." Once you put your box around it, it will show up in a red box. You then can go back to Advanced / Redaction and redact selection, which permanantly redact. So, You might want to use a practice copy until you get the hang of it!
