WestTexasOfficerTheft case
Hello. Theft in PC 31.03 is defined as the following:
Sec. 31.03. THEFT. (a) A person commits an offense if he unlawfully appropriates property with intent to deprive the owner of property.(b) Appropriation of property is unlawful if

1) it is without the owner's effective consent;(2) the property is stolen and the actor appropriates the property knowing it was stolen by another;
I have a vehicle burglary case assigned to me where a lap top was stolen. A few days later it turned up in a pawn shop. I believe the person that pawned it knew that it was stolen. I cannot find him to interview him. Short of him admitting that he knew it was stolen, how else can I show that he had knowledge that it was stolen?
