Terry Breen
Sgt. Clark,

The "personal writings of the accused," can not be the subject of a search warrant (Tex. C.C.P. Art. 18.02(10).

I wonder if you could get a federal search warrant, under the theory he crossed state lines to avoid apprehension. I do not know much about that statute, and I know even less about what is required for a federal search warrant--it's just an idea I'm throwing out.

If I were you, I'd contact a fed. agent who is familiar with search warrants and see what he thinks of my idea.

Good luck.
