Anyone aware of any authority that the affidavit for business records must be an original?

I read 902(a) and (b) as not having a requirement that the affidavit be original, and thus that a faxed copy of the affidavit would be sufficient. Can't find any authority addressing this subject though.

Don't you have to file originals with the district clerk?
