Recovering court-appointed attorney fees
Anyone have any experience with making the repayment of court-appointed attorneys' fees recoverable in the final disposition of cases (as opposed to probation, etc.) under TCCP 26.05 (g)?

How are the counties recovering the fees paid for court-appointed counsel?

HELP, please!

Provided the defendant is indigent and not destitute, the Judge of my court requires defendants with appointed counsel to pay $50 per month toward their attorney. On occasion she will reduce or waive this payment but a good 85-90% are on this plan. I don't know if the fees carry through into the probation if there is a balance at the time of the plea. An aside: ee require a minimum of $100 fine per year of probation

Look at:

Curry v. Wilson, 853 S.W.2d 40 (Tex. Crim. App. 1993) (affirming trial court's authority to order repayment even after the defendant was found not guilty).
