My question is regarding a newly-employed prosecutor's obligation to withdraw from a case in which he was previously retained as defense counsel.Is withdrawal in all such situations mandatory, as I assume? If so, what, if any, are my obligations in withdrawing other than informing the client of the withdrawal and any court settings? I should note this case is in a different county from my place of employment as a prosecutor.
