Dick EvinsCosts for Service of Process by Constable in Civil Forfeiture case.
When Service of Process is mailed to a constable in a distant county for service on a defendant residing in that County, is the Constable entitled to a fee from the DA's office for costs of Service?
Is there a way to avoid that the fee for service of process?

Tree ChamberlainWe usually try to get a DA investigator from the respondent's county to serve the citation for us if personal service is preferred; otherwise, we have our clerk do citation by certified mail.
