The Texarkana Court of Appeals recently affirmed a conviction under the relatively new Jessica's Law that includes the offense of continuous sexual abuse. The opinion is worth reading for anyone with such a pending case. Click

The successful prosecution was directly the result of something intended by the new law: dealing with a child's inability to articulate a specific date for each act of sexual abuse while still providing convincing testimony of ongoing abuse.
