I will be starting an EOCA (primary offense being MOCS +400) trial this coming Friday. I have never done an EOCA voir dire. Any thoughts? Comments? Help? Tips? for navigating through the wonderful world of 71.02?

Abby, I've never done one, but I would look at the notes and cases cited in TDCAA's Criminal Laws book. The notes focus on the common issues in these cases, like combinations and how they can be proven, gang evidence, tattoos, etc. They also cite cases that you might want to print out if you think they might be an issue and put in your trial notebook. Good luck and remember, EOCA is just gravy. 400+ alone is a good wallop.
