RWebbPersonal Cell phones of police officers
I heard recently about other state's courts requiring police officers personal cell phones and the records of those phone to be turned over to defense during the dicscovery process if the officer was using the phone during the time of the arrest or took pictures on the phone. Has there been any rulings here in Texas on that subject and are any offices training their law enforcement agencies about this? (ie. if they don't have a camera will taking a photo at a crime scene open up their personal cell phone information to defense discovery?)
