Differences Between Federal and Texas Rules of Evidence
Anyone know of a document that compares the Texas and Federal Rules of Evidence?

I made one while preparing for board certification, but I could not tell you where it is, and that was years ago. Hopefully someone has one done recently, or an AUSA who transitioned from a DA's office has one. One big diffrence is rule 608. Feds have language allowing for admission of specific instances of conduct in certain cases, while Texas' rule does not have this allowance.

The Texas Rules of Evidence HAndbook, formerly edited by Judge Cochran, does note the differences and similarities. The committees that adopted the rules did explain differences at that time and those documents should be available in bigger law libraries and maybe in online versions of the Texas Bar Journal.
