First Statewide No Refusal
In practically all jurisdictions where No Refusal has been implemented, we have seen spectacular results, most importantly with a significant drop in DWI fatalities. Despite this result, the No Refusal program has only been implemented in a minority of Texas counties. That all changes this July 4th when No Refusal will be conducted on a statewide basis to ensure that this is the safest July 4th weekend ever on our state's roadways!

Please help us to ensure the success of the first statewide No Refusal by registering your agency at norefusal@cityofdwg.net as soon as possible. Even if you are one of the counties that was already planning on a July 4th No Refusal or are No Refusal 24/7, please register so we can track the extent of participation. For a toolkit, you can go to the TDCAA website and check out the "DWI Resource" page or go to NHTSA No Refusal Toolkit for helpful templates. Many statewide organizations are participating including DPS, TXDOT, Texas Police Chief's Association, MADD, etc.

To ensure the success of the program, we are looking for prosecutors and police officers in all the counties to volunteer to spread the word and find judges to review warrants. Press conferences are being planned for around the state next week and we hope all can participate. Please sign up at the email address listed above or find out more details on the TDCAA home page. Once again, let's make this the safest July 4th ever!

If anyone is collecting statewide data on this, please let me know. I would be interested in finding out the results.

Thank you, and thank you to all the law enforcement officers, prosecutors, and judges out there who are giving up THEIR holiday weekend to make OURS safer!

There are few times where your efforts as a prosecutor can actually save lives. Supporting
No Refusal and working to make it happen in your County will save lives. All of us that have worked on those programs in our communities know its true. Lets show the Nation that Texas is a leader in DWI Enforcement.

I was contacted by Dalworthington Gardens and added Marble Falls PD to the list. We are no-refusal year round, but we are glad to be part of this.

Thanks for registering at the website. We need as many jurisdictions as possible signing up for the effort. Please email us even if you are No Refusal 24/7 or if you had planned on conducting No Refusal anyway. There are almost 200 law enforcement agencies signed up already and the list continues to grow.

TXDOT will soon be airing public service announcements promoting No Refusals so there should be even more participation soon!
