Colin McFallCollections Department
How many District Attorneys also oversee the county collections department?
Do you have any advice for a medium sized office thinking about starting a collections department?

Ken SparksMy advice would be not to do it. County commissioners can hire a law firm to handle collections and the firm can charge a fee over and above the amount due and the county does not lose any money.

Mark EdwardsWe are a small jurisdiction. A few years ago our commissioners created a court collections office and hired a young man to run it. It is easily paying for itself and is doing a really good job.
