My understanding is that there now has to be a PC determination by the court prior to issuing a warrant for arrest on misdemeanors. THis is no big deal with "regular" cases - but what are you doing with checks, especially those sent in by check collection agencies?

We use a fill-in-the-blank probable cause affidavit for the merchant to sign, which provides the basis for the judge to issue a summons or warrant.
