County-provided cameras in courtroom
It is now common to see video clips of things that happen in courtrooms across the country. The clips come from cameras mounted in the courts, not from TV news crews. I think they are a great idea that is consistent with the political tidal wave called "transparency" that our society is currently riding. I'm curious to know who in Texas has them?

Not in any of my counties (rural). However, a LONG time ago (like, you know, back in the 90's) I had a criminal trial in Abilene (on a change of venue) and the judge allowed one camera to be set in a fixed position in the back of the courtroom so that the news media could have clips. Never understood the big deal. I kept forgetting it was there.
