We just received notice that one of our bondsman, who had been writing bonds under Alleghany Casualty Company from either Pennsylvania or New Jersy, is no longer authorized to execute bonds. My question is, is the cancellation for this bondsman alone, or has Alleghany gone insolvent like Far West out of Nebraska?

I would be very interested in the solvency of Allegheny Mutual. They are not licensed in our county, but I have a summary judgment I need to collect on through Allegheny. Hey, counties where this insurance company runs bail bond companies -- let's hear from you!

I, too, would like to hear if Allegheny is going under or is on the edge.
