Has anyone utilized Chapter 125 of the Civil Practice & Remedies Code to deal with illegal 8-liner operations? If so, how did it go? Any advice?

We did. Mixed results. If you drag the property owner in, be ready for the "awww, shucks. I didn't know they wuz doin' nothin' illegal in there. Just seemt like good clean fun" pitch. Our jury had no trouble finding gambling, but they were enthralled by the owner's lawyer who kept a jar of dirt on the counsel table, insisting that since we had impleaded the property, that was his "client."
