Jim TireyDisposal of Slot Machines
We have 5 slot machines dating from probably the 30s or 40s in storage. They were not seized in a criminal case, but rather came into the County's possession when they were discovered inside a wall at a local orgnization's clubhouse.
The commissioners want to get rid of the machines. As noted above, they are vintage and not likely to be useful to a gambling operation, but could probably be sold as collectibles. They do not seem to fit into the scheme in Section 263.152(a)(5), as they were not seized in a criminal case.
Can we put these out for bids if the person buying promises not to use them for illegal gambling?
