Ray JohnsonRepresenting a Judge
Any thoughts on the propriety of a county attorney representing a sitting judge in responding to an inquiry from the State Commission on Judicial Conduct?

Lisa PetersonI have assisted our county judge with a complaint filed by the former CCL judge. Didn't see it as much as "representing" as a service - especially since most of the local bar assisted as well.

Scott BrumleyEven if it's a district judge, Att'y Gen. Op. JC-0047 indicates that it is permissible to provide representation if the county's interests, and not simply those of the judge, are served by the representation.
That said, it's been far more common for us to help out our JPs than any of the other judges.
