I've seized money, cars, and computers. But never real property. I'm doing research in the county clerk's office on the title of the land.

Can anyone give me the gist on how to go about making sure we've got everything we need to seize the land and improvements?

I know I'll have to file a lis pendons in the county clerk's office and that's about it.

I would also try to get an appraisal for sale vs for taxes to determine the ball park asking price.
