We just filed for a Family Violence Protective Order. The Judge has Ordered Mediation. Anyone have this situation?

We did. Our local rules prohibited it.

Also see: Art. 5.08, C.Cr.P. specifically states that

��in a criminal prosecution arising from family violence, as that term is defined by Section 71.004, Family code, a court shall not refer or order the victim or defendant involved into mediation, dispute resolution, arbitration, or other similar procedures.�

Not a wise order.
