Steve Rubenzer--"Diplomate in Forensic Psychology"
Steve Rubenzer, out of Houston, has conducted a competency evaluation on behalf of the defense in a murder case that is coming up. Has anyone ever heard of or dealt with him before? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Indirectly relevant: While there are a number of "vanity boards" which confer "diplomate" status merely upon payment of a (usually substantial) fee, the two common boards for psychiatry and psychology, respectively, are:
The American Board of Neurology and Psychiatry, Inc. and The American Board of Professional Psychology, Inc. Both are genuine boards that confer diplomate status after examinations. Dr. Rubenzer does have diplomate status from ABPP, which has a forensic section.

Talk to Kaylynn Williford or Joe Owmby in Harris County. I think Rubenzer testified in Andrea Yates.
