sexual assault mental disability
I have a sexual assault case. It involves a long time mother's boyfriend having sex with the mother's adult daughter. The daughter is mentally challenged primarily with a low i.q. and she suffers from cerebral palsey. She is high functioning and has worked (in a very controlled environment) for a long time. I am concerned that it will be difficult for the jury to fully understand her handicap and how it prevents her from being able to resist the assault. She is a cooperative witness. Any expert suggestions? I think I need someone who can explain to the jury how the victim's intellectual limitations prevent her from being able to say no to a domineering father figure. Any help will be appreciated.
