JamesFine Only Appeal
Juvenile is placed on deferred for a fine only misdemeanor and mother not happy. Juvenile is 12. Mother appeals. What next? Our county clerk has not handled this situtation before.

Stacey L. BrownleeI'm assuming you mean an appeal from the JP/Muni court, if so then it is NOT a juvenile case it is just an appeal like any other appeal and should be handled as such.
There is another thread on this from 9-30-08 but I'm not smart enough to link it.

Andrea WThere's now actual authority on it, which we didn't have at the time of the last thread.

Check out
Florance v. State, No. 05-08-00707-CR, 2009 WL 1267350, at *3 (Tex. App.--Dallas 5/8/09).

JamesThank you very very much.
If mom is not happy with a fine on deferred for a puny misdemeanor, this perhaps give us all a clue as to what may be the problem for the juvenile.
