Jim TireySection 53.07(a) of the Family Code requires the summons to be served at least two days prior to the hearing on the petition, and anyone but the child can waive service by simply showing up at the hearing (see Section 53.06(e)). Most of the 10-day provisions speak of working days, e.g., Sections 53.05; 54.01(h) and (q).
