Pronoun
Which pronoun do you use to refer to an appellate court?

I always use "it" to refer to any court.

What about when you're referring to "the majority"?

If I need to get that specific, I usually don't use a pronoun. Smile "It" would still be appropriate, though, in my opinion. "The majority" is an entity. If you were talking about "the justices in the majority", then you'd move to "they". (Sort of like the distinction between "the jury" and "the jurors".)
