It is a rare pleading. But look at the TDCAA Appellate Manual's section on Mandamus (pleadings included) by the awesome Chuck Mallin, Tarrant County DA's Appellate Chief. The law is basically the same. See, e.g., Simon v. Levario, 306 sw3d 318.
